I think, more than most politicians, his heart has always been in the right place.
He was born wealthy, so he could have easily avoided all of the hassles of politics and lived a life of selfish self-indulgence (like Paris Hilton). I give him credit for spending so many years in the arena, doing the best he could for as long as he could.
I hope he recovers his health quickly.
Politics aside, I’ll never forget him dutifully going to identify the body of his nephew – with the whole world watching in stunned sadness.
